Traveling with your pet
If you are considering traveling with your pet. it is important to think ahead and find "pet friendly" hotels, campgrounds and resorts. Always make sure you have the appropriate vaccination certificates, flea and tick preventative, heartworm medicine and other appropriate medications needed by your pet. Keeping your pet's food and water the same, as at home, is also important.   In the case of international travel it is recommended that all owners check with the country embassy or counsulate to ensure that the most current importation rules are available.  Other sources include the APHIS.gov web site for each contry.  Some international and domestic travel may require preparation as early as 1-2 months before the travel date so prepare accordingly.When USDA Travel Certificates (APHIS 7001 Form) or a health certificates are required, Dr. Rogers is certified to issue them.
